Los Angeles, CA – Today, Stephen J. Cloobeck announced he is suing Riverside Sheriff Chad Bianco for illegal campaign activity and released an ad describing the many scandals that have plagued Bianco during his time as Sheriff. California Government Code § 3206 states, “No officer or employee of a local agency shall participate in political activities of any kind while in uniform.” Sheriff Bianco has been on camera and in photographs in full uniform while campaigning for higher office.
“The people of Riverside County and all Californians need to know that their elected sheriff is misusing public funds and is perpetuating the culture of Republican corruption in law enforcement,” Cloobeck continued, “Bianco has broken the law by wearing his uniform as a campaign prop. He needs to be held accountable for bending the law for his personal campaign.”
The ad is directly targeting the media market around the California Republican Party Convention in Orange County. “We are going to clean up California, no more con-artists, no more scammers, no more self-serving politicians. Your time is up, Chad Bianco, “ Cloobeck states in the ad.
“Chad has engaged in election denialism, runs an incompetent jail system, and even promoted his brother to captain while in office. I want to make sure the California customers in Riverside County and across our great State know the truth about Bianco.” Cloobeck continued, “Chad is just another compromised politician who is trying to move up the political ladder.”
Cloobeck, a philanthropist, business leader, and political outsider, emphasized his commitment to bringing real change to California politics, saying, “I am the political outsider who is not compromised, and I am ready to lead our State on day one with integrity. I will work every day to make California more Affordable, Livable, & Workable.”
