Los Angeles, CA – Gubernatorial candidate Stephen J. Cloobeck today launched a six-figure digital ad campaign across approximately 20 major California media markets – and in targeted Texas districts – calling out the ‘cheater mindset’ of Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
“Trump continues his habit of lying to the American people and trying to cheat because he knows he is going to face defeat in the midterm elections. He did this when he lost the 2020 presidential election, and now he is trying to cheat again so that his party won’t lose in 2026.” The ad features Cloobeck’s challenge to Trump supporters: “Hey MAGA, Trump is the swamp [and] the deep state. Have you had enough yet?”
Cloobeck is throwing his support behind his fellow Democrats in the Texas legislature who are resisting Trump and Texas Governor Greg Abbott in his ridiculous ploy to subvert democracy.
“Californians need to let our friends in Texas know that we stand with them, and that is why I am releasing this ad to expose Donald Trump and Greg Abbott as low-life cheaters.“ Cloobeck continued, “I am committed to making California more Affordable, Livable, and Workable, and that can only happen if everyone plays by the rules and respects our sacred democracy.”
“I am proud to help lead California Democrats into battle to fight these insane tactics,” Cloobeck stated. “As I campaign for Governor, I will continue to stand up to Trump’s abuses of power and fight for California values.”
Cloobeck, a philanthropist, business leader, and political outsider, emphasized his commitment to bringing real change to California politics. “I’m not a politician, and I’m not compromised. I am eager to meet more California voters in every corner of the state, listen to their concerns, and share my plans to reopen California for business,” Cloobeck said.
Starting today, this ad will be online and run in major California markets and in Texas’s most vulnerable Republican-held state legislative districts. The ad is complemented by a dominant social media strategy.
