Los Angeles, CA – Today, gubernatorial candidate Stephen J. Cloobeck unveiled his bold Affordability policy that outlines Simple Solutions that will help build a Better Life, a Better Way for all Californians.
“Affordability in California is in a FULL-BLOWN CRISIS that deserves a state of emergency declaration,” Cloobeck continued, “No other gubernatorial candidate is offering specifics on policies like I am that will Reopen California for Business. I am a Proven Problem Solver who will make the tough changes that will once again make California the greatest economic engine in the world.”
The policy states, “Let’s get right to it. We need to hit the pause button on the Species and Wildlife Acts, the Coastal Commission, and CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act), so housing, infrastructure, and business development can finally breathe. This isn’t about abandoning the environment; it’s about saving our state and a generation from being shut out of their own backyards.”
Cloobeck continued, saying, “For the first time, more people are leaving California than moving to our Golden State. My goal is to reverse that trend and grow our population by five million people. By the way, the 5-million-person growth isn’t just a number; think of it as millions of Customers, taxpayers, workers, and innovators helping rebuild California’s economic strength.”
Cloobeck’s Affordability policy includes several bold proposals, notably dividing our State into four geographical categories (coastal, urban, suburban, and rural) to address the unique concerns of each area, as well as implementing a 120-day approval process for building projects. These changes will keep Californians in our state and attract more business and families to move here.
Cloobeck, a philanthropist, business leader, and political outsider, emphasized his commitment to bringing real change to California politics, saying, “I am the political outsider who is not compromised, and I am ready to lead our State on day one with integrity. I will work every day to make California more Affordable, Livable, & Workable.”
